The Amy E. Tarrant Gallery is an exhibition and reception space that is an extension of the 麻豆传媒社区’s Main Stage lobby. The gallery provides a professionally lit space to showcase multi-media works by regional artists. Exhibitions, typically lasting three months, often have a theme that ties together the works on display. The gallery is open prior to most Main Stage shows and during intermission, as well as by appointment. For rental rates, contact rentals@flynnvt.org or 802-652-4502. Artists interested in exhibiting should contact 802-652-4500. Nana-Francisca Schottländer is a Copenhagen-based cross disciplinary artist working in the intersection between dance, performance, installation, and conceptual art. Central to her work is the use of her own body as a living tool for research and creation.
In the series Heavy Kinship, Nana-Francisca Schottländer explores the co-creative potentials of encounters between rocks and humans, between stony and fleshy bodies. What does it take to engage in respectful, reciprocal, and intimate exchanges with something existing on such radically different terms than ourselves?
